Prepared Foods
Echo Lake Foods
Acquired June 2025
Echo Lake Foods established Cal-Maine’s foundation in ready-to-eat egg products and breakfast foods. Specializing in fully cooked, individually quick-frozen egg products — including egg patties, omelets, and folded egg formats — Echo Lake serves retail and foodservice customers across the country. The acquisition gave Cal-Maine a purpose-built prepared foods production platform and has been the primary driver of the company’s rapid growth in the breakfast category.
Creighton Brothers & Crystal Lake
Acquired 2026
The acquisition of Creighton Brothers LLC and its affiliate Crystal Lake LLC deepened Cal-Maine’s integration from farm through finished product. With operations spanning shell egg production, egg products, and prepared foods, Creighton Brothers strengthens Cal-Maine’s ability to source, process, and supply the egg-based ingredients that power its growing breakfast foods business. This vertical integration improves supply reliability, supports quality control, and reinforces the economics of the entire prepared foods platform.
Crepini
Strategic investment 2024 — now a Cal-Maine brand
Crepini is the creator of Egg Thins® — a protein-rich, gluten-free alternative to traditional wraps and tortillas, made from eggs and cauliflower. Cal-Maine’s investment in Crepini established a joint venture in egg products and prepared foods, and Crepini is now an active brand within the Cal-Maine portfolio. The partnership reflects Cal-Maine’s commitment to innovative, better-for-you egg-based products — clean-label, high-protein, and designed for the way consumers eat today.
Van’s Foods

The addition of Van’s expands Cal-Maine’s direct-to-consumer retail presence and accelerates its growth in convenient, protein-forward breakfast foods.
