Michael J. Highfield is Provost and Executive Vice President of Mississippi College, where he serves as chief academic officer overseeing academic strategy, faculty affairs, accreditation, and institutional effectiveness. He previously served as Dean of the Graduate School and Department Head of Finance and Economics at Mississippi State University, where he led academic programs in finance and helped advance research, fundraising, and curriculum development. A CFA charterholder with additional professional certifications in treasury and banking, he brings extensive expertise in finance, higher education leadership, and governance, and has served on numerous academic, professional, and nonprofit boards focused on education, economic development, and financial literacy.
