Employee Engagement

People are Our Most Important Asset

Cal-Maine Foods, we recognize that our people are our most important asset. Since our founding, we have worked diligently to support our colleagues by providing safe workplaces, competitive salaries and wages, and prohibiting any violation of federal, state, or local law regarding employment discrimination. We believe in the value of investing in our colleagues to help them succeed as individuals, while contributing to the short- and long-term goals of our organization. Our genuine, family-oriented culture is an advantage for everyone associated with Cal-Maine Foods.

Both our past and future success are due to the collective efforts of our entire company, from our Board of Directors and management team to our dedicated employees across our operations. We remain committed to following strong corporate governance principles and maintaining a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace.

Our strategy and vision benefit from the representation and leadership provided by our majority independent Board of Directors. Our board comprises 29% of members who self-identify as female and 14% of members who self-identify as a member of an ethnic minority group. Promoting an environment of equitable treatment is a high priority for Cal-Maine Foods’ leadership, and we continue to look for ways to improve our performance.

Throughout our history, we have continued to uphold the highest principles of human rights in our operations, across our value chain, and in those communities in which we have influence. Our Human Rights Statement, found here illustrates our ongoing efforts to support human rights and embrace a culture that values each individual’s contribution and well-being.
